About this tool
This free PDF merger joins several PDF documents into one, keeping every page exactly as it was β text, images, vector graphics and page sizes are copied over without any re-compression or quality loss. It is handy for combining scanned chapters into one file, assembling invoices or statements for accounting, joining a cover letter with a CV, or stitching exported report sections together.
Everything runs locally in your browser using the pdf-lib library: your files are never uploaded to a server, there is nothing to install, and the tool keeps working even offline once the page has loaded. That makes it a safe choice for contracts, bank statements and other confidential paperwork β and there are no watermarks, sign-ups or file limits.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge is performed by JavaScript running in your browser. Your documents never leave your device, and nothing is stored β closing the tab erases everything.
Does merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied into the new document as-is, with their original resolution, fonts and page dimensions. The merged file is not re-compressed or rasterized.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Encrypted PDFs cannot be read without the password, so the tool will report them and skip the merge. Remove the password first (for example by printing to PDF from a viewer where the file is open), then merge.
Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
There is no hard limit. Because processing happens in your browser's memory, very large batches (hundreds of megabytes) may take a while or fail on low-memory devices, but typical documents merge in seconds.
