How to extract frames from a video

What resolution are the extracted frames?
Frames are captured at the video's native resolution — for example a 4K video produces 3840×2160 images. The player preview may look smaller on screen, but the saved image always uses the full pixel dimensions of the video.
Should I choose PNG or JPG?
PNG is lossless and ideal for screenshots, text overlays and graphics, but files are larger. JPG is much smaller and fine for photographic content — the quality slider lets you trade file size against sharpness.
Why does my video fail to load?
The tool relies on your browser's built-in video decoder, so it supports whatever formats your browser can play. MP4 (H.264/AAC) and WebM work almost everywhere; formats like AVI, MKV or HEVC may not decode in some browsers. Converting the file to MP4 first usually solves it.
How does the series capture pick the frame times?
The frames are spaced evenly between your start and end time. For example, 0 to 10 seconds with 5 frames captures at 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 seconds. Set the count to 1 to capture only the start time.
